Meet Willow: Golden Girl on a Golden Journey
Willow is a stunning 7-year-old Golden Retriever who’s discovering the joy of just being a dog after a life of being used for breeding. At 98.7 pounds (down from 112!), she’s crushing her weight loss journey at a healthy pace of about a pound a week. With each pound lost, Willow is finding more pep in her step—and a whole lot more tail wags.
Willow loves the great outdoors and will happily join you on a walk or enjoy relaxing in the yard. When it’s time to wind down, she’s just as content curling up on the couch for some cozy time with her favorite human. She’s fantastic with cats and would thrive with another dog of a similar activity level to keep her company.
While Willow is working on her mobility, getting into cars and tackling uncarpeted stairs can be tricky for her right now. But with her continued progress on her weight loss journey, these challenges should improve. A little patience and a helping hand are all she needs to keep going strong.
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and loving companion who’s ready to start her golden years in a home filled with love, Willow is your girl. Let her show you just how much heart one dog can have!
Willow is completely housetrained, so you won’t have to worry about any accidents! She is very loving and enjoys spending time with her human family, always ready to give affection and snuggles. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her an easy fit in a multi-pet household. Willow’s playful spirit shines through as she has a blast playing like a puppy with her foster sister, showing that age is just a number when it comes to enjoying life!
This sweet girl would thrive in a calm and loving environment, where she can enjoy the simple pleasures of life – cozy naps, gentle walks, and being part of a family. If you're looking for a chill, affectionate dog to add to your home, Willow could be the perfect match. She’s ready to be your loyal companion and bring joy to your life for many years to come. Will you be the lucky family to give Willow her happily ever after?
