Meet Koda, a stunning 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix! This smart and energetic girl has so much to offer her future family. Koda is great with kids, she adored meeting her foster’s 5-year-old nieces, and she gets along well with other dogs, as long as they understand she’s in charge. While she hasn’t been tested with cats in a home, she’s shown no reaction to them when she spotted them at the pet store.
Koda is crate-trained and leash-trained but still needs occasional reminders not to pull. Her separation anxiety means she gets stressed in the crate when left alone, so she’ll need a family that understands her emotional needs and can help her feel secure. In the house, Koda is well-behaved when supervised, though her curiosity about countertops keeps her foster family on their toes!
A fenced-in yard is a must for Koda, as she loves to explore and may wander if not secured. She forms strong bonds with her humans, so a few meet-and-greets will ensure a smooth transition to her new home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Koda is ready to meet you!
Koda’s adoption fee is $850 which includes spay, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, and up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention, deworming and complete vet check. If you are interested in meeting our beautiful girl, please fill out our online application on our website www.helpingpawsrescue.ca
