I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Gemma

I'm Available

Gemma is a 5 year old shepherd who is very loyal to her family. She is the sweetest girl and her foster mom says she's the most perfect girl. She loves lounging on the couch and squishing in for cuddles. She is a typical Shepherd and needs to be kept busy mentally and physically. She would benefit with some formal training. She is happy when she's busy. She loves the attention of her family, she would do best with older children. She is fully housetrained. Good with cats. Good with other dogs, although she's a little nervous meeting new dogs until she knows it's safe. We are working with her reaction to dogs and people through a barrier, such as a crate or baby gate. She is improving but will need continued training with this. She plays all day with her playmate, Sissy, another shepherd female we have here. They are best buds. She's good with the other dogs but she has a special bond with Sissy. Her favourite thing to do is give kisses! Gemma tested positive for Lyme disease, which wasn't surprising given her past of being tied up outside and never seeing a vet. Her blood results were great! She has not shown any symptoms and probably never will. Gemma’s adoption fee is $850 which includes spay, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, and up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention, deworming and complete vet check.
