Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Helping Paws Rescue to cover necessary vaccinations and medical costs for all pets in their care.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs

Puppies (Under 16 weeks) - $1000 ($400 rebate upon proof of spay/neuter)
Dogs (16 weeks and older) - $850 (All vet care complete before adoption)

Cats/Kittens

$250 (All vet care complete before adoption)

Fees for Animals with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Helping Paws Rescue to cover the following medical expenses:

Dogs
  • Rabies (16 weeks and older)
  • Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP)
  • 4DX Heartworm Test, Lyme's, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis Test (6 months and older)
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered (16 weeks and older)
  • Microchip
  • Complete Vet Exam
  • Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention
  • Deworming
  • Nail Trim & Ear Cleaning
Cats
  • Rabies & FVRCP
  • Deworming
  • Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Microchip
  • Deworming
  • Complete Vet Exam
  • Nail Trim & Ear Cleaning
